An enjoyable night in Chorley
On Thursday 24th August following a somewhat damp summer recess, David Hooley welcomed all the assembled members and guests to Lawrence Council meeting at Chorley.

First up, an Admission into the Degree of St. Lawrence the Martyr, the candidates Mike Seagar and Andrew Haworth, this ceremony was carried by David Hooley W.M. ably assisted by John Rimmer Dist G.J.W.(E.L.) and John Askew who conducted the Candidates.  An excellent explanation of the Lecture was given by John Askew.

Following that Ceremony those  present witnessed  four members (John Askew, Patrick Martindale, Mike Seagar and Andrew Howarth) being admitted to the Degree of Red Cross of Babylon.

The Ceremony was conducted by Geoff Catterall assisted by Peter Schofield. The Lecture was presented Vic Norris.
Before the meeting closed the District Prefect Paul Snape congratulated and thanked everyone who had taken part in the Ceremony commenting on the high standard of their work, he also congratulated John Bicknell, who at the October of Grand Council will receive a promotion to the Rank of P.G.Reg.
 
In reply David Hooley thanked the District Grand Prefect for his generous comments inviting him and all present to join him for well earned refreshment and dinner (Fish, Chips & Peas)
